South Emerald Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in New York City. Our facility boasts a state-of-the-art environment, covering 5000 square feet, fully equipped with advanced sports medicine technologies. Our clinic is privately owned and has established a solid reputation for prioritizing individualized care and effective treatments for our clients, predominantly covered by private medical insurance. Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our rehabilitation facility, which fosters a supportive atmosphere among our staff of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced schedule while providing the utmost care to our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and physical therapy needs, setting the foundation for tailored treatment protocols.
• Manage a focused patient caseload, typically seeing one individual per hour to ensure personalized attention and effective progression.
• Utilize best practices for physical rehabilitation, including manual therapy techniques and evidence-based interventions to improve clients' mobility.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address specific orthopedic conditions, while promoting long-term health and wellness.
• Encourage patients to adopt healthier lifestyles, improve overall fitness, and foster mental wellbeing during their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers across disciplines to optimize patient care through effective communication and shared treatment goals.
• Monitor each patient's progress meticulously, documenting care provided and treatment outcomes in our electronic medical records (EMR), specifically WebPT.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make necessary adaptations to ensure patients achieve their desired outcomes.
• Stay informed about industry advancements and integrate new techniques to enhance service offerings and improve patient experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with patients suffering from orthopedic conditions seeking both rehabilitative support and preventative care. You will cater to a diverse range of individuals, focusing on helping them recover from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will guide them in maintaining mobility and functional independence, playing a significant role in reshaping their daily lives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is a minimum educational requirement; however, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, aligning with current industry standards.
• An active and valid New York state license to practice as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Proven track record of a clear professional record with no disciplinary actions against your licensure.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and a deep understanding of therapeutic exercise protocols are essential.
• Competence in using electronic medical records software, especially familiarization with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic outpatient settings that contribute to a well-rounded understanding of patient care delivery and rehabilitation practices.
• A history of implementing successful treatment plans resulting in high patient satisfaction and positive functional outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
