With a team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, our collaborative environment supports professional growth and continual learning.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in our modern outpatient facility located in New York City. Our standard operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, promoting a work-life balance conducive to maintaining your personal well-being while providing excellent patient care. You will be immersed in a supportive team atmosphere that values open communication and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify their specific goals, needs, and barriers to recovery.
• Treat an average of 2 to 3 patients per hour, adapting to their progress and needs throughout each session.
• Utilize your orthopedic outpatient expertise to develop individualized care plans incorporating a variety of treatment techniques.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that focus on minimizing pain, enhancing mobility, and reducing reliance on medications or surgical procedures.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their treatment to help them achieve optimal functional outcomes.
• Implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to encourage engagement in a healthy lifestyle and improve overall strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Carefully monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and documenting all care services systematically.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. The diversity in our patient population allows for unique interactions and challenges, creating an enriching work atmosphere. Your ability to connect with each patient on a personal level will be crucial in building trust and encouraging compliance with recovery plans.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist License in New York, with no board actions or disciplinary issues on record.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercise modalities.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient care management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrable success in developing and executing treatment plans that promote recovery and improve function.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
