Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our innovative team in New York, NY. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for guiding patients on their rehabilitation journeys, empowering them to regain mobility and achieve optimal performance levels. We focus primarily on orthopedic conditions and are committed to delivering personalized care to our clientele, which primarily includes patients covered by private medical insurance.

Work Environment

The position will be performed onsite within our rehabilitation facility located in the bustling heart of New York, New York. We maintain a collaborative and engaging work culture, where you'll be part of a small team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patients' needs and develop customized treatment plans that fit individual goals.
• Deliver direct therapeutic interventions, managing a patient load of one individual per hour, focusing on personalized and evidence-based care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility, strength, and flexibility for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries.
• Implement cost-effective treatment modalities that aim to improve patients' motion and mobility while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including other healthcare professionals, to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Monitor patient progress by evaluating treatment effects and adjusting therapy as needed to maximize results.
• Document all services provided in accordance with legal, ethical, and facility standards to ensure accurate patient records and continuity of care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment, fostering a supportive and positive environment that promotes recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will revolve around diverse patients diagnosed with various orthopedic conditions. Our patient population consists of individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions that affect movement. You will play a key role in enhancing their quality of life through targeted rehabilitation programs tailored to meet their specific recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to fulfill this role.
• Possession of an active New York State Physical Therapist license with no records of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy and exercise program design tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to ensure effective documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience as a Physical Therapist within orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable and appreciated.
• Proven track record of delivering evidence-based interventions that foster strong patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
