Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with chronic pain, evaluating their medical history and current health status.
• Order appropriate diagnostic imaging and lab tests to aid in clinical decision-making.
• Prescribe non-narcotic medications and recommend physical therapy options based on the patients' needs.
• Collaborate with physicians to schedule and assist with interventional procedures while managing pre-and post-operative care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans using electronic health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.
• Address patient concerns and provide education on pain management strategies and lifestyle modifications to improve their quality of life.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on advancements in pain management therapies and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse patient population experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and complex pain syndromes. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
