Looking for an opportunity to support students and educators in an engaging school environment? As a School Psychologist on a contract assignment near Richmond, TX, you'll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to success by providing expert guidance, assessment, and counseling.
Your expertise will have a direct, meaningful impact as you collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Experience in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong skills in student evaluation, counseling, and intervention planning
- Ability to interpret and present assessment data to multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other special education regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to cultural competence and fostering inclusive school communities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Help develop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Collaborate with staff and families to create safe, positive learning climates
- Participate in crisis intervention and prevention activities
- Offer consultative support to teachers and administrators
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
