In-Office: This is a 100% in-office role based at our Rochester, NY. location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.
Position Overview
This role serves within the Retirement Services operations team, responsible for managing complex recordkeeping tasks and acting as a liaison with external partners such as trustees, custodians, and recordkeeping vendor. The analyst ensures operational accuracy and compliance across all plan activities.

- The Operations Analyst leverages technology—including AI tools, Salesforce, and Power BI—to support retirement operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Reconcile data and build reports using system tolls and extracts for Operations leadership
- Support project teams with data requests and updates to existing reports and dashboards.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex retirement plan operation processes.
- Manage complex retirement plan recordkeeping operations including transaction processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Act as a liaison with external partners including recordkeepers, custodians, and trustees.
- Ensure operational compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
- Support escalations from internal teams and external partners.
- Assist in the development and refinement of operational procedures and documentation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analyst or financial analyst role · Preferred but not required, strong understanding of defined contribution plan structures, record keeping, and ERISA, IRS regulations, and retirement plan operational compliance requirements.
- Experience working with external financial institutions and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on the ability to translate complex issues into clear updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced critical thinking skills to evaluate unusual or complex issues and determine the best solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple escalations concurrently, prioritizing tasks based on risk, impact, and deadlines.
- Ability work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $104,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here.
