Greiner Packaging is a family-owned global leader in rigid plastic packaging solutions serving the food, consumer goods, and healthcare markets. Since establishing our U.S. footprint in 2014, Greiner Packaging USA has become a strategic platform for North American growth. We are seeking a supply chain leader to ensure that our customer demand is translated into production, inventory and delivery in the most efficient way possible. This is an on-site leadership role based in Pittston, PA.

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring the effective alignment of customer demand, production capacity, material availability, inventory, and logistics performance. The role drives supply chain strategy, forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), inventory optimisation, and customer fulfilment to deliver high service levels, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth. Working closely with commercial, operations, finance, quality, and customer service teams, the position translates customer requirements into executable plans while managing risk and continuous improvement. The role also governs SAP supply chain processes, data integrity, performance analytics, and the development of a high-performing supply chain organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Operations

• Lead the overall supply chain function, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and operational performance.
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve service, inventory, productivity, and cost performance.
• Monitor and report key supply chain metrics, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Build scalable processes and operating rhythms that support growth and customer satisfaction.

Planning, Forecasting & S&OP

• Lead a customer-focused, demand-driven planning process from forecast through production and fulfillment.
• Own commercial forecasting governance and lead the S&OP / IBP process.
• Translate evolving customer requirements into executable production, staffing, and material plans.
• Drive scenario planning and supply risk mitigation to protect customer commitments and business objectives.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.

Inventory & Material Management

• Own inventory performance across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Establish inventory policies, safety stock strategies, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Monitor inventory health and drive actions to minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
• Partner with Procurement to ensure material availability through effective material requirements planning and supply risk management.
• Coordinate material availability to support production schedules and customer service goals.
• Balance inventory investment with service-level expectations and operational efficiency.

Logistics & Customer Fulfillment

• Support the efficient movement of materials and finished goods across the supply chain.
• Partner with customer service, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment processes.
• Monitor customer service metrics and implement corrective actions to enhance supply reliability.

SAP, Data Governance & Process Excellence

• Govern SAP supply chain processes including planning, inventory, materials management, and master data.
• Ensure data integrity, transactional discipline, and audit readiness.
• Develop reporting and analytics that improve decision-making and operational visibility.
• Drive process standardization, digital enablement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supply Risk & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Procurement to provide demand visibility and material requirements that support sourcing and supplier management decisions.
• Monitor material supply risks and escalate potential impacts on customer commitments and production plans.
• Collaborate with Procurement on supply continuity, dual-sourcing strategies, and risk mitigation initiatives.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and develop supply chain and planning team members.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across commercial, operations, finance, quality, and customer service functions.
• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support capital projects, operational improvements, and new product launches.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to address supply chain challenges and improve performance.

Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or planning within manufacturing.
• 3+ years leading teams and cross-functional processes.

• Proven success leading supply chains that support demanding, high-service customers with volatile, rapidly changing demand profiles.
• Proven success delivering supply chain efficiency, inventory optimization, working capital improvements, and operational cost reductions
• Strong SAP planning, inventory management, and production planning experience (PP/MM)

or equivalent ERP experience.
• Background in packaging, plastics, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
