Collections Representative

We're more than a distributor—we're a team dedicated to innovation, service excellence, and lasting customer relationships.The Collections Representative is responsible for managing business-to-business accounts receivable by monitoring overdue accounts, communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances, and facilitating timely payment resolutions. This role works collaboratively with internal departments to support credit decisions, maintain accurate account documentation, and ensure customer accounts remain in good standing. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location, size and operation. Under general supervision, perform the investigation, analysis, and follow-up for the collection of overdue accountsHandle heavy volume of phone calls and email correspondence with customers and company employeesOrganize, plan, and prioritize responsibilities maximizing accurately and efficiencyMaintain current information in customer files documenting correspondence and processCorrespond with customers and answer questions regarding their accounts, determine reasons for non-payment, and review credit termsReview daily orders to be held or released based on credit statusNegotiate payment of past due invoices or payment schedules based on customers’ financial situationCoordinate customer credit changes with the credit departmentDocument customer financial status for further credit analysisEstablish and maintain good working relationships with customers and other SCR, LLC departmentsOther as assigned by managerRequirementsThis position requires regular on-site work.
