Laboratory Assistant (Phlebotomy)

Position Overview:
A healthcare organization is seeking a dependable and skilled Laboratory Assistant to support clinical operations across multiple locations. This role requires strong phlebotomy experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced patient care environment.

This is a floating position, with the expectation to rotate between multiple clinic locations within the Dallas and Midlothian area as needed.

Details:

• Location: Dallas / Midlothian, TX (Floating Role)
• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (520 hours)
• Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.50/hour (DOE)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Dress Code: Solid color scrubs

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy/blood draws for approximately 35 patients per day
• Conduct wave testing, including urine dipstick and coagulation testing
• Process lab samples and ensure accurate documentation
• Utilize laboratory systems for daily operations
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• Perform quality control procedures on lab analyzers
• Float between multiple clinic locations as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of phlebotomy experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with urine dip and coagulation testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with hard-to-draw ("hard stick") patients
