Description

• Conduct evaluations on patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using a mix of standardized assessments and clinical observations.
• Create tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on key areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress made in therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the care process.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation compliant with all relevant guidelines.
• Commit to ongoing education and peer learning to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
