LHH is partnering with a well-established organization to identify a detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator for a temporary assignment supporting a busy Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone with prior benefits administration or HR operations experience who enjoys working with employee data, audits, HR systems, and cross-functional coordination.

This position will play a key role in supporting ongoing benefits administration processes, ensuring data accuracy, resolving employee benefits issues, and maintaining compliance with internal procedures.

Location: Baltimore, MD

Compensation: $24–$31 per hour, based on experience

Job Type: Contract (3–5 Month Assignment)

Schedule: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee benefits transactions, including qualifying life event changes and eligibility updates.
• Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
• Conduct routine audits and reconciliations related to health, welfare, retirement, and ancillary benefit plans.
• Support ongoing compliance tracking, reporting, and documentation activities.
• Partner with payroll, employees, and third-party vendors to resolve benefits-related questions and discrepancies.
• Review data files, reports, and system records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Assist with employee enrollments, terminations, leave-related updates, and other benefits administration processes.
• Track recurring deadlines and maintain organized benefits and HR documentation.
• Support open enrollment activities and employee communications related to benefit programs.
• Assist with special HR projects and additional administrative responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Benefits Coordinator, Benefits Administrator, HR Coordinator, HR Associate, or in a related HR support role.
• Working knowledge of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and spending accounts.
• Experience utilizing HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems.
• Strong Excel and data management skills, including reporting and auditing employee data.
• Excellent organizational abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally and discreetly.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
