This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role at a psychiatric hospital in the Pittsburgh, PA area. The position involves supporting medication management within a clinical setting, working closely with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing teams.

Location:

• Pittsburgh, PA (Mckeesport area)
• Psychiatric hospital setting

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Duration:

• One-month assignment from October 1 through October 31
• Potential for extension, but not a temp-to-hire position

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter and verify medication orders ensuring compliance with hospital protocols
• Manage automated dispensing machines effectively to ensure correct medication distribution
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care and medication safety
• Communicate clearly and professionally with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing staff regarding pharmacy-related matters

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred to navigate clinical operations smoothly
• Proficient in data order entry and verification processes
• Experienced with automated dispensing machine operations
• Strong communication skills to interact across multidisciplinary teams
