Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing our mental health counselors the flexibility to choose their working hours while maintaining a full-time commitment. Our telehealth model supports a collaborative work culture, where counselors utilize digital platforms to conduct assessments, provide therapy, and engage with patients. You will have scheduling flexibility, with most sessions taking place Monday to Friday, and availability on weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations that assess the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

• Coordinate the appropriate level of mental health care for patients, providing referrals and insights into necessary support services.

• Complete all required documentation and statistical reports in compliance with legal and organizational policies.

• Engage in regular collaboration with the Department of Correction to ensure proper access and treatment for patients within the correctional system.

• Lead group treatment sessions for patients on mental health observation units and other assigned settings.
\n
• Participate actively in clinical supervision with a designated Clinical Supervisor at least once a week to enhance clinical skills.
\n
• Take part in interdisciplinary mental health and medical rounds, ensuring comprehensive care planning for patients.
\n
• Contribute to case conferences and treatment planning meetings focusing on patients who are receiving or may require mental health treatment.
\n
• Conduct psychological testing as directed, providing critical assessment data for treatment planning.
\n
• Supervise social work interns or volunteers as necessary to aid their professional development while supporting organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population consisting of adults facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and severe mental illnesses. This role requires a compassionate approach to care, as counselors will support individuals from various backgrounds, including those experiencing significant social and economic stressors.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in telehealth services, crisis intervention, and treatment planning is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with documentation systems used in mental health settings will be an asset. Candidates with experience collaborating with correctional facilities will be prioritized.
