General Description
Broward County's Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Lauderdale) is seeking an experienced, strategic and innovative GFLCVB Manager (Marketing) to serve as a key leader within the marketing team. This role will oversee the execution of integrated destination marketing initiatives, manage the agency of record, ensure contractual deliverables are achieved, and help drive measurable visitation to Greater Fort Lauderdale. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, this individual will act as a trusted partner who can independently lead projects, anticipate business needs, and transform strategy into flawless execution.
The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, project manager, marketer, communicator and innovator. They possess a deep understanding of destination marketing, consumer behavior, and tourism trends, while embracing emerging technologies and marketing solutions to improve efficiency and campaign performance. Develops and implements a business development and/or public relations plan; works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, business, communications, journalism, hospitality or closely related field. Requires four (4) years in marketing, journalism, business communications or closely related experience. Requires one (1) year of supervisory experience.

• Serve as the primary day-to-day manager of the agency of record, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Visit Lauderdale's strategic objectives.
• Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned, earned, and shared media.
• Develop audience segmentation, buyer personas, and go-to-market strategies that drive awareness, visitation, and economic impact.
• Analyze campaign performance, visitor insights, industry trends, and market research to identify opportunities and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
• Partner closely with internal departments, agency partners, and external stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives support organizational priorities.

• Identify and implement emerging marketing technologies and innovative consumer engagement strategies that improve productivity and campaign results.
• Ensure brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints while protecting and strengthening the Visit Lauderdale brand.
• Develop executive-level presentations, campaign recaps, and strategic recommendations supported by performance data.
• Monitor tourism, hospitality, airline, competitive destination, and consumer travel trends to proactively adjust marketing strategies.
• Build collaborative relationships with local tourism partners, attractions, municipalities, hotels, and cultural organizations to identify storytelling and promotional opportunities.
• Manage multiple high-profile initiatives simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting aggressive deadlines.
• Performs related work as assigned. Note: In the event of a disaster (hurricane, etc.) all Broward County employees become emergency workers. This position will assist in various emergency functions as assigned before, during, and after a disaster. This includes, but is not limited to, working at a general population shelter during a hurricane.

- Demonstrated experience managing creative, media, digital, or integrated marketing agencies.
- Strong knowledge of destination marketing principles, tourism consumer behavior, and travel purchasing decisions.
- Experience with audience segmentation, CRM strategies, marketing analytics, and performance reporting.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing six- and seven-figure marketing budgets.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly proficient with project management platforms, digital marketing technologies, marketing automation tools, applications, and analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of Broward County's tourism assets, cultural districts, neighborhoods, attractions, events, and hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
- Bi-lingual, ability to read, write and speak English & Spanish fluently.
- Certified Destination Management Executive (Destinations International).
