Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Central Time

Reports to / Works with: Customer Service team leader and other departments

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, advanced Customer Service Representative to join our close-knit customer service team. This is a key role supporting our customers and internal partners with professionalism, accuracy, and genuine care. You will work side-by-side with seasoned colleagues in a fast-paced but supportive environment where your contributions are visible and valued. Ideal candidates bring depth of experience, strong systems fluency, and a customer-first mindset.

The Customer Service Representative will handle inbound and outbound customer communications via phone, email, and other channels, providing timely and accurate information on orders, products, and services. Responsibilities include processing orders, updating customer accounts, resolving issues, and coordinating with sales, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment. The role involves tracking customer orders, requests, and following up on open items, and maintaining detailed records in the Fishbowl , QuickBooks and Salesforce systems. The representative will also contribute to improving customer experience by identifying recurring issues, sharing feedback with internal teams, and supporting continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a minimum 3–5 years of professional customer service experience (5+ years strongly preferred for this advanced role).

• Demonstrated experience in Customer Service and Customer Support, including handling inquiries, orders, and issue resolution.
\n
• Ability to maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction and Customer Experience through professional, empathetic communication.
\n
• Previous work in roles such as Customer Service Representatives or similar customer-facing positions.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
\n
• Strong proficiency with office and customer management software, like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Fishbowl, QuickBooks and Salesforce. Stong data entry experience is required.
\n
• Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
\n
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field preferred.
\n
• Experience in food ingredients, manufacturing, or B2B environments is a plus.
