Bookkeeper

Our client, one of the top public accounting firms in Delaware, is expanding its growing Outsourced Accounting team and is looking for a talented Bookkeeper to join the group. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients and wants exposure to the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations. Rather than focusing on one set of books, you'll support multiple clients across bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, AP/AR, reconciliations, budgeting, and month-end close. What You'll Do Provide bookkeeping and accounting support for a diverse portfolio of clients. Perform bank and checkbook reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Process and manage payroll for client organizations. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing, reconciliation, and follow-up. Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly and year-end close activities. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Assist clients with cash flow management, budgeting, and financial forecasting. Prepare monthly reporting packages containing financial statements, budgets, executive summaries, and other key financial information. Prepare IRS Form 1099s and support various tax-related reporting requirements. Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns. Help clients establish and improve internal control policies and procedures. Stay current on new accounting standards and assist clients with implementation and compliance. Support audit preparation and provide requested schedules and documentation. Assist with developing and implementing client budgets. What We're Looking For QuickBooks certification is required. Hands-on experience with payroll processing. Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience. Public accounting, outsourced accounting, or professional services experience is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of reconciliations, AP/AR, journal entries, and financial statements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines. Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset.
