Position Title MAMMOGRAPHY TCHNO (Breast Imaging) Location La Jolla Schedule Variable, 8 Hour Shifts, Sunday - Saturday Appointment Type Career Pay $54.71 - $61.37 / Hour Appointment Percent 100% Union EX Contract Openings 1 Extended Deadline Thu 6/11/2026 Job Responsibilities The Mammography Tech primarily performs screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures. They may also be required to perform or assist in interventional breast procedures. Responsible for operational effectiveness in the Breast Imaging area with attention to patient flow, customer service, equipment oversight, and Quality Control guidelines. Collaborates with radiologists and clinicians to implement new procedures and processes that ensure seamless operations. Maintains continuing education specific to Breast Imaging. Contributes to and participates in work organization, training and evaluation of staff as a member of self‑directed work teams. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Demonstrates skills and knowledge via competency exams in all Breast Imaging procedures. Must follow radiology imaging protocols and policies. Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, call, and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues. Minimum Qualifications Complete certification training program for Radiologic and Mammographic Technologist. California Radiology Technologist of Mammography (CRT-M). BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of first hire date. Demonstrated PACS, Digital Mammography, and computer knowledge. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of experience as a Mammography Technologist. Registered Technologist for Mammography issued by ARRT (R.T(M)(ARRT)). Special Conditions Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on‑call and locations based on the 24‑hour Medical Center’s business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $114,234 - $142,047 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $54.71 - $68.03 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
