Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and document detailed case information from the first consultation to the conclusion of care.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
\n
• Implement and facilitate individual therapy sessions as well as group therapy environments tailored to specific client dynamics.
\n
• Monitor client progress continuously, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other care providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare teams, to coordinate comprehensive interventions.
\n
• Provide follow-up care and maintain communication with healthcare specialists to support clients admitted to inpatient facilities.
\n
• Implement preventive measures and identify potential barriers to recovery, working collaboratively with clients and their families.
\n
• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and offer strategies for management and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Your approach will be tailored to each client, utilizing evidence-based practices informed by the latest developments in psychotherapy. You will have the opportunity to engage with individuals, couples, and families, providing holistic guidance to help each client navigate their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licenses such as LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Illinois.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role is essential for successful integration into our team.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, is preferred.
\n
• A thorough understanding of the effects of medications prescribed by medical specialists is crucial.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated competency in handling various mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders, including substance use challenges.

• Knowledge of and adherence to best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by a warm and empathetic demeanor conducive to building rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a generous sign-on bonus.
