This role offers a diverse mix of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy across all accounting functions.Why Join / Company HighlightsStable organization with a strong commitment to operational excellence and teamworkOpportunity to join a mission-driven organization that positively impacts the community.Collaborative environment with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and financial reporting initiativesResponsibilitiesProcess semi-monthly payroll, review timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processingManage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, account coding, vendor maintenance, approvals, and compliance requirementsSupport accounts receivable activities by preparing invoices, tracking reimbursements, reconciling customer accounts, and maintaining vendor recordsRecord general ledger (GL) journal entries, cash receipts, payroll transactions, and perform account reconciliationsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external agenciesAssist with bank reconciliations, deposits, budget-to-actual reporting, and year-end activities including W-2 and 1099 preparationProvide accounting support, customer service, and guidance on financial policies and procedures across departmentsQualificationsAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, preferred3+ years of accounting experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting; 5+ years preferredStrong proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, financial reporting, reconciliations, and data accuracyProven ability to identify discrepancies and maintain confidentialityStrong communication and customer service experience to communicate with team members, vendors, and other external partners.About CFSCreative Financial Staffing (CFS) is an employee-owned company through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), creating a culture where employees have a vested interest in success.
