Registered Nurse IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

Provides specialized radiology nursing care, ensuring patient safety and comfort during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Collaborates with medical teams to deliver high-quality patient management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer radiology procedures and assist with invasive interventions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and responses throughout procedures, promptly addressing any adverse events.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile techniques, IV placement, and equipment setup for procedures.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients about procedures, pre- and post-care instructions, and address concerns effectively.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information, procedure details, and clinical observations accurately.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid active state licensure as an RN in California.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of radiology, IR, ICU, or ER nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrates strong IV placement skills and experience in critical care settings.
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to adjust shift hours and float as needed, with weekend and holiday availability.
  
  
• 
  Successful completion of background and reference checks within the past year.
