HR Specialist

Soni is partnering with a higher education organization seeking a HR Specialist. This role is responsible for the administration of payrolls, maintaining and updating financial databases, and monitoring the department budget.


Responsibilities:
• Ensures payment documentation is submitted in a timely fashion and in accordance with payment policies.
• Works with Finance Office in resolving financial problems, maintains financial reporting and control systems, monitors program expenses, and oversees compliance
• Responsible for the timely submission of adjunct faculty, associate, adjunct researcher, and student appointments.
• Processes, tracks, and reports on adjunct faculty, associate, and adjunct research salaries policies, e.g. staff oversight, timesheet submissions, etc.
• Liaise between the department and various University offices.
• Implement policies and procedures to revise workflow and to automate office functions.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating financial databases. Responsible for ensuring revenue and expense accounting systems accurately reflect program and department activity, including receipts, billing, deferments and reconciliation with internal records and accounts.
• Prepares and distributes routine financial reports and assists with quarterly closing transactions.
• Assists with the selection and processing of student awards and prizes.
• Under direction, monitors fellowship/assistant budget.
• Will perform other duties as assigned/requested.


Requirements:
• Bachelors degree
• 3-5 yrs experience

Preferred Skills:
• HR experience

Compensation: $27 - $33/ Hr
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
