Speech Language Pathologist

Position Details

• Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Grade Levels: K-5th Grade
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 26, 2027
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-2:45 PM
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Setting: Onsite
• Caseload: Special education students across the K-5th grade setting
• Compensation: $60,000-$72,000 annually

About the Role

This SLP position was just opened to provide additional support to the school's existing speech-language team . You will work with special education students in grades K-5 and help alleviate caseloads for the current SLPs.

The district is looking for a collaborative clinician who can jump into a school environment, build strong relationships with students and staff, and provide high-quality speech and language services.
Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in grades K-5
• Support students receiving special education services based on their individual needs and IEP goals
• Help alleviate caseload demands for the current SLP team
• Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluation processes as appropriate
• Develop and implement individualized speech and language goals
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Monitor and document student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely service documentation
• Collaborate with the existing SLP team to ensure consistency of services and continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with families and school staff regarding student progress and needs

Qualifications

• Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathology License
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate SLP endorsement
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team
• Passion for supporting students with diverse communication needs

Compensation & Benefits
