Description – What You'll Do

• Conduct a variety of routine and complex clinical laboratory tests—covering areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology—all adhering to established guidelines.
• Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and ensure laboratory instruments receive regular maintenance and calibration.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing procedures when necessary.
• Document procedures meticulously, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain high-quality laboratory standards.
• Ensure a safe and clean workspace while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, coupled with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of your certification throughout your tenure.
