Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate with each client to create tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and therapeutic goals, ensuring a personalized approach to mental health care.

• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients navigate their emotional challenges.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, coping mechanisms, treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance overall well-being.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment process, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and integrated support tailored to client needs.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment milestones in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional development.

• Act as a mental health advocate for clients, working towards the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and championing clients' rights and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily work with individuals grappling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our patients are diverse, encompassing various backgrounds, age groups, and life experiences, which calls for a therapist who can approach each case with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and an individualized methodology.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacological treatments and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals, ensuring well-rounded care for clients.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various cultural backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
