Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team in Tampa, Florida. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense, who are eager to advance their careers in a supportive and dynamic environment. Duties Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance defense files from start to finish. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies. Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in high-stakes situations. Stay informed on case law and industry trends in Florida insurance litigation. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in the Florida Bar. Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense or related fields. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Experience in litigation and case management, including depositions and hearings. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Proactive and solutions-oriented with a passion for client advocacy. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in the Florida Bar. Skills Excellent legal research and writing abilities. Strong analytical and case management skills. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
