Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via video chat, focusing on improving clients' mental health and well-being.
• Encourage clients to explore their emotions and experiences, fostering self-insight and understanding.
• Act as an advocate for clients, aiding them in defining personal goals and developing tailored plans to achieve them.
• Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and formulate treatment plans rooted in evidence-based approaches adapted to their unique needs.
• Engage in ongoing assessment of client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies with each session.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Phoenix Rising, we focus on a population of stable adults, primarily low-acuity clients who are seeking support for various mental health challenges. All clients are pre-screened to ensure they meet our criteria, allowing you to work with individuals who are equipped to engage in their treatment. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• You must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision as one of the following: LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
• No limited/provisional licenses or disciplinary actions are accepted.
• Capacity to conduct professional evaluations, formulate clinical judgments, and make informed recommendations for treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in individual counseling or therapy in a telehealth setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to engage clients through digital platforms while maintaining professionalism and sensitivity.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness-based techniques, is preferred.
