Manager, Accounts Payable

Position SummaryThe Accounts Payable Manager will assist with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the accounting department in a growing company. Will be strategic, proactive, resourceful, and be able to build strong relationships within the department and cross-functionally.Position DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provide leadership to the accounts payable function and manage the day-to-day operationOwn the Company's Travel & Expense program, including Concur administration, expense report processing, employee support, policy management, approval workflows, audit compliance, corporate card administration, reporting, and continuous process improvements.Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, including management of the monthly close calendar deadlinesFamiliar with a variety of the Accounting and Audit concepts, practices, and procedures: GAAPManage the design and administration of accounts payable policy and procedure within the organizationEvaluate and makes appropriate improvements to accounting policies and internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organizationSupport and manage the execution of external auditsLeverage extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and deadlinesCommunicate effectively with other departments, external auditorsComply with special project analyses and ad hoc reporting as neededLead, mentor and develop current Account Payables staffQualificationsEducation/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounts payable experience. 3 years of experience with managing a team within accounts payable. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong system skills including experience with a large ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or SAP including set up and creating reports. Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will directly manage a team within accounts payable. Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities. Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.Position Hiring RangeThe hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time.Compensation: $89,850.00 - $119,800.00Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy.
