REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT - K12 Food Service - TX, OK, AZ - REMOTE

Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and inspire a team of senior leaders while setting the culture for delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals that help kids stay happy and healthy. Partner closely with national peers and the CEO and CFO to advance the Chartwells K12 mission, drive key performance indicators in a dynamic environment, and sustain and grow the business through strong operational and financial leadership. Oversee approximately $150M in managed volume across the K‑12 foodservice business in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arizona. Build and develop high‑performing teams that consistently deliver proactive client management, standardized processes, elevated service levels, and a highly engaged workforce. Drive self and team towards building strong relationships with clients at all levels (local, district, state) and achieve key performance indicators. Serve on the nationwide leadership team, influencing and leading nationwide operations, and regularly communicate with peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, champion diversity, and build community. Own key regional decisions with team input, weighing risks and rewards and strategically and persuasively communicating outcomes. Set tone for culture of the organization in the region and regularly meet with the extended team to ensure full transparency, education, safety, accountability, and alignment. Act as representative/brand ambassador of the Chartwells team to senior clients in the region and serve as escalation point. Partner with Sales and Retention teams to drive strategy for growth, structure deals, present new business, build relationships with prospective clients, and negotiate key contract terms. Collaborate with key partners on regional and/or nationwide initiatives. Ensure compliance with QA, policy, and USDA program requirements, and complete all required reporting on time. Champion development within the region; conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and fully understand all roles within operations. Own regional financial results and P&L, working with leadership to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Ensure consistent and fair administration of all policies and procedures. Recognize and anticipate marketplace trends; participate in strategic planning meetings. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or eight (8) years progressive experience in multi‑unit foodservice, nutrition, culinary, or hospitality management. Preferred Qualifications Strong background in senior leadership roles with experience in contract and budget management, customer service, people development, food services, negotiations, etc. Proven track record of growing a business and leading large cross‑functional teams, with excellent business and financial acumen. Ability to think quickly, analytically, strategically, and accurately. Expert client relationship, influencing, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Champions inclusion mindset; proactive, positive, professional, flexible, and resilient. Demonstrates initiative, ownership, multi‑tasking, prioritization, and organization skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite. Extensive travel required in this position – up to 60%.
