Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite within our patients' homes across Alexandria and surrounding areas. Our emphasis on a drug-free workplace and adherence to vaccination guidelines ensures safety for our employees, patients, and community. The flexibility of this role allows for variable weekends and 40 scheduled hours per week, accommodating the needs of our clientele while promoting work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to determine the unique needs of each patient, designing personalized treatment plans tailored to individual functional limitations.
• Provide expert consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding the continuum of care for patients, ensuring cohesive treatment strategies.
• Implement prescribed treatment protocols and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with patients and families, integrating feedback to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries in compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and best practices to enhance patient care and organizational effectiveness.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to educate the public on the benefits of physical therapy, promoting positive health outcomes within our service areas.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability while ensuring proper resource management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your Patients will comprise a diverse demographic, including individuals with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain management needs. The ability to effectively communicate and cater to patients from various cultural backgrounds is essential, as you will be interacting with patients of all ages and abilities. Emphasis will be placed on developing rapport and trust to enhance patient adherence to therapy and facilitate better treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; candidates with advanced qualifications will be considered favorably.
• Possession of a valid State License in Physical Therapy demonstrating compliance with regulatory standards.
• BLS certification is mandatory to ensure readiness for medical emergencies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits
