Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a meaningful position supporting students in a dynamic school setting. This assignment, covering a maternity leave, begins in early September and is projected to run through December, with the potential to extend for the rest of the school year. Work full-time alongside a supportive Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and make a difference during a critical period for both students and staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
• Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy services preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educational staff, students, and families
• Ability to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students as determined by individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with a COTA to coordinate and facilitate therapy activities
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development and reviews
• Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student engagement and success
• Support program planning during the maternity leave and ensure continuity of care
