Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Retain Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Staying updated with state practice acts and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations governing physical therapy practice.

• Conducting comprehensive examinations and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, functional limitations, and disabilities.

• Administering evaluation services that involve reviewing patient histories, performing specific assessments, documenting results, and making recommendations for care.

• Implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings while adjusting the plan as necessary to meet patient needs and respond to changes in their conditions.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care, including recognizing when additional medical or rehabilitative input is needed.

• Completing discharge planning, ensuring appropriate follow-up care is initiated, and accurately documenting patient treatment activities to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

• Participating in facility meetings and contributing to team initiatives aimed at improving access to care and promoting best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients who may present with a variety of conditions including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain syndromes, sports injuries, and mobility challenges. You will work closely with each individual to assess their needs, develop effective treatment strategies, and monitor progress toward recovery goals. Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following qualifications to be considered for this role:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) through the Florida Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, demonstrating proficiency in direct patient care.

• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and emergency preparedness.
