This Inventory Accounting Manager role is critical for Legends Global Merchandise to manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and supporting effective inventory management for their global operations. The TL;DR Role: Full Time Type: Full-time Location: Hybrid, Indianapolis, IN Team: Reports to the Controller Mission: Manages inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions related to inventory. Tech Stack: Excel, ERP systems and tools, PowerPoint What You’ll Actually Do Inventory Accounting Management: Oversee and manage all inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions. Reconciliation & Auditing: Reconcile inventory accounts, resolve discrepancies, and perform regular audits to monitor inventory levels. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze comprehensive inventory reports, assist in financial reporting, and develop actionable insights for inventory management. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in inventory accounting, including developing automated reporting tools to increase productivity. Project Support: Support project-related initiatives within Accounting and Operations, as directed by Accounting leadership, assisting with documentation and presentation materials. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. This role manages inventory accounting processes for a global merchandise operation. Experience: 5 plus years of inventory accounting or relevant experience, with a preference for retail inventory experience. Skills: Strong analytical and data gathering skills, excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, knowledge of ERP systems and tools, and attention to accuracy and detail.
