You'll play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment throughout the 26/27 school year as a dedicated Paraprofessional/Personal Care Assistant.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, personal care assistant, or in a similar educational support capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt support to meet individual student needs within a classroom setting
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and reliability
- High school Diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in education or special needs support is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and physical support to assigned students under the supervision of classroom teachers or specialized staff
- Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and activities, ensuring student engagement and safety
- Support students with personal care tasks as needed (feeding, mobility, hygiene)
- Collaborate with the educational team to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies
- Foster positive peer interactions and promote an inclusive environment for all students
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student activities and progress
