Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing for a mid-to-large, multi-jurisdictional workforce. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across weekly and biweekly pay cycles, partnering closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations teams.Process weekly and biweekly payroll for 1,500-2,000 employees in the US and Canada through ADP WorkforceNowReview, audit, and validate payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance before submissionProcess employee transactions including new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll adjustmentsAssist with final pay calculations and terminations in accordance with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local requirementsPrepare off-cycle payments, special payroll runs, and manual payments as neededInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through research, analysis, and collaboration with internal partnersReconcile payroll reports and perform payroll audits to identify and correct discrepanciesGenerate, analyze, and maintain recurring and ad hoc payroll reportsSupport internal and external payroll audits by gathering required documentation and recordsServe as a trusted resource for employee payroll inquiries, delivering timely and professional customer servicePartner closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll dataMaintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll informationStay current on payroll regulations, tax requirements, and industry best practicesIdentify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance payroll accuracyRequirements2+ years of payroll processing experience in a mid-to-large organizationExperience with a major cloud-based payroll/HCM platform required (e.g., ADP Workforce Now or similar)Experience processing payroll across multiple jurisdictions (multi-state and/or international)Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirementsHigh attention to detail and ability to handle confidential informationStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
