Senior Director, Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Strategy based in the United States.

This is a senior strategic leadership role focused on shaping growth trajectories, brand positioning, and transformative business strategies.
You will help senior clients identify their most meaningful opportunities for growth and define the strategies needed to achieve them.
The role spans brand strategy, creative development, digital experiences, products, campaigns, innovation, and organizational alignment.
You will combine big-picture thinking with hands-on strategic expertise, turning insights and cultural understanding into actionable directions.
Working across Strategy, Creative, Data, Technology, and Product, you will lead multidisciplinary teams toward commercially meaningful outcomes.
You will also build trusted relationships with senior client leaders while developing and coaching high-performing strategists.
This remote opportunity is designed for an experienced strategic leader who can connect vision, creativity, and business impact across complex client challenges.

• Shape growth trajectories and strategic visions for brands through audience understanding, market and landscape analysis, cultural awareness, research, and creative ideation.
• Direct and contribute hands-on to core brand strategy practices, including brand definition, architecture, positioning, and strategic frameworks.
• Translate brand strategy into campaigns, product directions, customer experiences, organizational initiatives, and new opportunities for innovation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across Strategy, Creative, Product, Technology, Data, and related disciplines to develop and activate strategic brand directions.
• Define opportunities, insights, and strategic frameworks that enable creative partners to develop work capable of delivering meaningful commercial impact.
• Build and improve internal processes that make strategy development more effective, efficient, and scalable.
• Develop clear and compelling points of view on relevant business, cultural, and industry topics to inform client thinking, strategy development, and thought leadership.
• Lead the development of strategic approaches while coaching and developing other strategists.
• Manage and mentor teams of business, brand, and creative strategists, fostering strong strategic thinking and collaborative execution.
• Develop deeper strategic partnerships with senior client stakeholders and contribute to growth, new business, and pitching opportunities.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience driving strategy and creative work across traditional, digital, AI, experiential, or related environments.
• Extensive experience developing strategies that influence broad business ecosystems, including campaigns, messaging, employee engagement, organizational alignment, content, products, and customer experiences.
• Strong brand strategy expertise, with the ability to connect positioning and brand thinking to broader business and growth objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to operate across diverse opportunities, channels, industries, and business challenges.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating effectively across creative, technology, product, data, and other functions.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex strategic ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated experience building relationships with and influencing senior client leadership.
• Ability to rapidly develop expertise in new businesses, industries, categories, and market dynamics.
• Strong commercial mindset with an ability to connect strategic recommendations to measurable client and business outcomes.
• Experience contributing to growth initiatives, new business development, and competitive pitching.
• Coaching and people-management experience, with a track record of developing strong strategic talent.
• Creative, curious, and adaptable approach to solving complex problems and identifying new opportunities.

Benefits

• Remote position within the United States.
• Annual salary range of $200,000–$220,000 USD , with placement within the range based on factors such as experience, qualifications, specialization, market conditions, and business considerations.
