Position Summary:
The Sushi Cook prepares a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls and other Japanese cuisine items. This role requires expertise in knife skills, seafood handling, food presentation, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen while delivering consistent quality.
Job Duties:
- Prepares sushi, sashimi, nigiri, specialty rolls and other dishes.
- Clean, cut, and prepare fresh fish, seafood, vegetables and other ingredients.
- Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards and customers preferences.
- Maintain proper food storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
- Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality.
- Assist with menu preparation and daily food production.
- All other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience as a sushi cook or chef preferred.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
- Strong knife skills and seafood handling experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handlers Card preferred
Compensation Details:
Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $26.00)
