Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys in probate and estate administration at Shoup Legal in Murrieta, California. Key Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration, including drafting legal documents, preparing court filings, and managing case files Communicate with clients, probate courts, and other parties involved in the probate proceedings Conduct legal research and analysis related to probate matters Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case information and deadlines Assist with scheduling appointments and managing attorney calendars Draft Inventory and Appraisals, Accountings and other necessary documents for review by Probate Examiner and submission to Probate Courts Communicate with clients on a regular basis throughout the representation with updates Assist attorneys in preparing cases for hearings Maintain case management database Perform daily accurate entry into the Case Management System, ensuring no more than 15% of total time is devoted to administrative work Requirements 2+ years of experience working in a law firm; a focus on probate and estate administration is preferred Paralegal certificate from an ABA‑approved program preferred Ability to reliably commute to the Murrieta, CA office A fundamental understanding of estate planning/administration concepts or related experience is a bonus Possess strong multi‑tasking and time‑management skills Be willing to perform administrative tasks as needed Superb communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Be a self‑starter who is also detail‑oriented Display a positive attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases; be able to learn new software with ease Have excellent spelling, typing, and grammar skills Ability to type between 40–50 words per minute Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in handling personal client information, including following the Rules of Professional Conduct Exhibit a strong work ethic with high standards for quality and quantity of work Salary: $23.00–$25.00 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
