About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Simulation to play a pivotal role in the establishment and leadership of an immersive practice and collaborative training center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and educational management of the center, including day-to-day operations, staff supervision, curriculum integration, and ensuring that the center meets accreditation and best-practice standards. This role involves direct collaboration with faculty across various health science disciplines to design and enhance simulation-based curricula, as well as providing faculty development in simulation pedagogy. The Executive Director will also be involved in budget management, and equipment procurement, and will be expected to stay abreast of and implement the latest simulation technologies. Applicants for the Executive Director of Simulation position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctoral degree, and a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in simulation-based education or a related field. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills are essential, as is a working knowledge of simulation technologies. The role requires the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and a commitment to the values of belonging, compassion, collaboration, curiosity, and integrity. The ideal candidate will have a current clinical license, and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential is preferred. The position demands a high level of analytical and critical thinking, project management skills, and the ability to make independent decisions in operational and personnel matters.
