Medical Technologist - Medical Technologist Weekly Pay $1368 - $1568 Shift Shift 12 Hour Day Shifts Per Week 3 Scheduled Hours 36 Start Date 07/13/2026 End Date 10/12/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Days, 3x12 hour shifts. Rotate weekends (usually every 5th weekend); no call. Fill in Thursday night shift and can pick up vacancies if not filled with regular staff. Job Description A critical access hospital in Lincoln, Maine is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate must be proficient in various laboratory procedures and able to work independently. Responsibilities Perform microbiology testing including gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures. Conduct blood bank testing. Proficiently perform phlebotomy tasks. Adhere to Covid regulations including proper use of PPE and isolation procedures. Multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Work holidays as needed on a rotating basis. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduation from an approved program in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technology. Microbiology experience preferred. Must be able to work alone and communicate proficiently.
