Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Brightside Health Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging virtual group therapy sessions that foster connection, dialogue, and mutual support among clients.

• Individual Counseling: Provide personalized, empathetic therapy to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, guiding them towards developing effective coping strategies and action plans.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to devise individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans, carefully addressing their unique needs and preferences.

• Progress Monitoring: Utilize various assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to track client progress and adapt treatment strategies as needed.

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a team of mental health professionals to coordinate care, share insights, and consult on complex cases, ensuring the highest quality of service for our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is designed to support young adults aged 18 to 30 enrolled in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). You will have the opportunity to address a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-focused challenges. Your role will be critical in aiding these individuals through their transformative journey towards wellness and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.

• Experience with telehealth methodologies and platforms is highly preferred.

• A minimum of two years' clinical experience providing therapy to young adults in a mental health setting.
