Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This school-based role begins August 24, 2026, and extends through June 7, 2027, providing you the chance to work a steady 37.5-hour workweek for the academic year.

You’ll be based in a single building, supporting two specialized classrooms. One assignment involves serving a small class (9-12) of students with multiple disabilities, including those who are non-verbal and have physical impairments. The other focuses on a group of 10-15 students with emotional disabilities, requiring expertise with behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), social-emotional learning strategies, and crisis intervention.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid and current special education teaching license required
• Experience with MD (multiple disabilities) and/or autism spectrum disorders highly preferred
• Skilled working with non-verbal students and implementing augmentative communication supports
• Familiarity with physical impairment accommodations
• Knowledge of best practices for educating students with emotional disabilities, including BIPs and crisis intervention techniques
• Comfortable collaborating with classroom aides, therapists, and related service providers
• Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment and differentiate instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Provide direct instruction and modify curriculum for diverse learners
• Manage classroom behavior and apply positive reinforcement strategies
• Document progress and communicate regularly with families and staff
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure whole-child support
