Materials Coordinator

Materials CoordinatorMaterials Coordinator Responsible for coordinating the movement, storage, and distribution of materials to support manufacturing, service, and shipping operations in the company. This role manages inventory transactions, material staging, receiving, and shipping support.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate the flow of materials between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areasStage materials, kits, and components for production and service activitiesMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, ERP transactions, and stock auditsReceive, inspect, label, and organize incoming materials and partsSupport shipping activities including packaging, documentation, freight coordination, and shipment schedulingPrepare packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and export documentation as requiredCoordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers, vendors, and customersMonitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to Purchasing and ProductionMaintain material traceability and proper documentationAssist with warehouse organization, material handling, and continuous improvement initiativesOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as neededEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and shipping regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with inventory control, warehouse operations, or material coordinationFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and shipping softwareKnowledge of shipping procedures, freight carriers, and logistics coordinationManufacturing experience and Mechanical attitude are plusesBenefits offered: health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) savings plan; long term disability coverage; and life and accident insurance. Essential functions include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and occasionally crawling, as well as safely lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. All employees are expected to support plant operations as needed while following all safety policies and procedures.
