Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's needs.
• Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, continually evaluating their effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments.
• Providing psychotherapy and counseling utilizing various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment and support.
• Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment processes, and self-care techniques to promote understanding and engagement in care.
• Monitoring patient progress, conducting regular follow-up appointments, and documenting clinical outcomes in the EHR system.
• Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing clinical supervision to further professional development and enhance patient care standards.
• Adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards of practice while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in psychiatric and mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits
