Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ health status, diagnosing both acute and chronic conditions ranging from common illnesses to complex health issues.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for students, collaborating with school nurses, parents, and, when necessary, external healthcare providers to ensure the best outcomes.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as blood work or imaging studies, and utilize findings to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed while adhering to state regulations regarding nurse practitioner practices.
• Provide education to students and their families about health maintenance, preventive care, and management of chronic conditions, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to manage their health effectively.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, participating in school meetings and consultative rounds to share insights regarding student health needs and advocate for wellness practices.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records to document patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare quality standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of health programs and initiatives within the school, aimed at promoting healthy behaviors and preventing illness.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Nurse Practitioner certification and active state nursing license for Texas.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 220,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
