Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT at Myers Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to gain an understanding of client backgrounds and presenting issues.

• Engaging with couples and families in both joint sessions and individual appointments to address specific concerns.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to meet each client's unique needs.

• Providing support for a range of issues including, but not limited to, conflicts between family members, grief and loss, communication difficulties, and challenges arising from blended families.

• Managing and documenting client progress to ensure effective treatment planning and outcomes.
\n
• Coordinating with other mental health professionals to enhance treatment approaches and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload will include diverse populations—primarily adults, as well as children and adolescents. This variety allows you to apply your skills across different age groups and family structures, addressing issues such as alcohol abuse, separation and divorce adjustment, and parent-child conflicts. By working directly with clients from various backgrounds, you will play an essential role in promoting mental wellness and stability within families.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• Hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• Exhibit outstanding communication skills and demonstrate the ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Display empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles.
\n
• Possess strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate documentation.
