Associate Director, Clinical Supply Project Manager - Program - Hybrid

Merck seeks an Associate Director to lead clinical supply planning across assigned drug programs in the Research & Development Division. The role manages end-to-end supply chain strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and coordination between clinical development, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead GCS Planning representative liaising with clinical development, regulatory, quality, and supply chain partners on timelines and strategies
• Establish manufacturing timelines and manage bulk drug product allocation across assigned programs and studies
• Build consolidated demand forecasts in SAP and manage clinical supply budgets for assigned programs
• Identify supply risks, escalate issues to GCS Leadership, and drive resolution of clinical supply problems
• Author clinical supply and CMC documentation to support labeling, packaging, and regulatory activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, business, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred
• At least 8 years in project management, clinical supply planning, or pharmaceutical development
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability
• Excellent cross-functional communication and negotiation capabilities
• Knowledge of GMP and GCP practices highly desirable
• Proven experience in project or portfolio management
