Operating primarily through a remote model, our outpatient office in West Hempstead allows counselors to manage their schedules flexibly, available to clients seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to determine patients' needs and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Creating and executing individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Administering evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to provide integrated care for each patient.
\n
• Responding promptly to crisis situations by offering supportive interventions for individuals experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and encouraging the utilization of community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient documentation in line with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed practices.

• Staying abreast of current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

Our center is particularly focused on providing comprehensive support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, among other mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMHC in the state of New York.

• A strong knowledge base regarding trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
