Flight Records Specialist

Overview Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Maintain pilot records Verify compliance with current Federal Aviation Regulations Develop pilot recordkeeping policies in accordance with federal guidelines Data entries for check rides, training and new hire pilots Maintain and modify pilot database to meet training needs Assure timely tracking and notification for medical certificates Create new hire files for pilots and verify accuracy of all paperwork, taking action to correct, when needed Create database reports for Regional Aviation Manager (RAD), Regional Aviation Manager (RAM), and Area Manager Perform monthly audit of 25% of the pilot\'s records and purge outdated records Maintain Daily Flight Log/Load Manifest sheets (DFL\'s); returning those with errors to the appropriate base for corrections Track and file pilots\' monthly duties Other duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 0% Subject to applicable laws and Air Methods\' policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to three (3) years\' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Aviation Experience is preferred Skills Familiarity with office equipment such as fax/copier/scanner Highly proficient proofreading, spelling, grammatical and phone skills. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) preferred. Excellent organizational skills detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet daily, monthly and quarterly deadlines. Ability to discreetly handle confidential information. Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude in dealing with both internal and external customers. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Computer Skills Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook Air Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
