Key Qualifications:

• Paraprofessional experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Comfort working with middle school students (grades 6-8), ideally with exposure to special education
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and staff
• Organizational skills to manage both academic and clerical responsibilities
• Strong sense of empathy, patience, and adaptability to meet student needs
• Ability to complete a background check in accordance with school policies

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct classroom support, reinforcing lesson material and assisting students with assignments
• Work closely with teachers to implement instructional strategies and individualized education plans
• Facilitate small group and one-on-one learning to boost student comprehension and engagement
• Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining documentation
• Support daily classroom operations through clerical tasks such as data entry, attendance, and filing
• Foster an encouraging, inclusive environment for all students
• Uphold school policies and contribute positively to the middle school community
