As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. You will communicate professionally with customers and team members, respond to routine security-related concerns, and contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $20.70 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
